It usually doesn't matter what router you use. We recommend that you use a router that is newer than 5 years due to safety concerns and stability.
We have some recommendations on what you should not buy and use:
- We do not recommend that you buy and use a D-Link router, since these won't work well in our network.
- We do not recommend routers which you get from another ISP (Comhem, Tele2, Ownit etc). These are usually configured specifically from
- We do not recommend using routers that have a LTE/4G/5G connection option with or without a SIM card. These will usually cause problems for you, and we always recommend that you buy a regular wifi router.
- Com Hem routers won't work at all, since they operate using "coaxial cable", which we don't have a wall socket for.
- We do not recommend buying and using a D-Link DIR-809 or a Netgear N300 since they haven't worked at all in our network.
